A small group of energetic ladies from other area Soroptimist clubs noticed the need for a club in the Northwest part of the valley.  Since then, we've worked hard in 2007 and 2008 to develop and organize a Northwest Valley service club for busy women looking to give back to the community.

As a result of our dedication, the Soroptimist International of Happy Valley Club was officially chartered in July, 2007.  Our charter club members were formally inducted as part of the Golden West Region Fall Meeting in October, 2007.

The focus of SIHV is hands on community service projects that align with the overall mission of Soroptimist International. We actively participate in National Soroptimist programs such as the Women's Opportunity Awards.  (A prestigious award and cash grant given to a local female head of household who is pursuing additional education to better provide for her family.)

We are always looking for articulate, dynamic, positive women to join our Club.

The SIHV Club meets, for a Business meeting, the first Thursday evening (6pm) of every month at the Arrowhead Country Club (19888 N. 73rd Ave., Glendale, AZ  85308).  At this Business meeting we develop plans and set them in motion!  Our agendas usually include an overview of a service project, a discussion of current events, motivational moments, and special event planning.  In addition, we also get together on the third Thursday of every month (same time/place) for community service event planning/development or program meetings that feature a special topic speaker.
